Marga Vintges

Marga Vintges finished her master degree in Biophysics in 1984, in Utrecht.

The first part of her career she was focused on science policy at the government, the Netherlands Science Council and the Technical University of Delft.

She believes in national and international cooperation to strengthen the position of science. As a chair of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory she interlinked science policies of different member states.

As a strategic advisor of the municipality of Westland, she became an expert in generating collaboration in Innovation Policy in Horticulture. She arranged recognition of horticulture within Europe.

Westland, is an important member of the regional horticulture cluster, Greenport West-Holland. Part of her work is to let the cluster cooperation grow.
